EVERETT — A 73-year-old Marysville man died at the hospital Thursday, after losing control of his motorcycle on I-5 and crashing into a guardrail, according to Washington State Patrol.
Darwin Lilley was driving around 3:45 p.m., going southbound on I-5 near the 41st Street exit, when he struck the guardrail on the left shoulder, trooper William Glahn said. Lilley was ejected from his motorcycle. His vehicle crossed all lanes of I-5 southbound traffic and ended up on the right shoulder.
The man was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he died, Glahn said.
Troopers were investigating the cause of the crash.
