CLINTON — A motorcyclist died in a crash Monday night on Whidbey Island.
Brett Higgins, 49, of Freeland, was riding a Buell Lightning sportbike north on Cultus Bay Road around 9:20 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
A driver, 79, on Deer Lake Road turned her Chevrolet Equinox left to go south. The vehicles collided.
Higgins died at the scene, east of Clinton.
No one in the Chevrolet suffered serious injuries.
Troopers were investigating the cause of the crash.
