BARLOW PASS — A Seattle man riding a street motorcycle on a dirt trail near Barlow Pass had to be rescued late Wednesday after he fell and apparently broke his pelvis.
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on the Goat Lake Trail off the Mountain Loop Highway, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The man, in his 60s, slid off a narrow portion of the trail and the motorcycle landed on top of him, Hover said.
A hiker found him and called for help.
Search and rescue crews and Darrington fire officials worked together to bring the man to the trailhead, she said.
The man was placed on a backboard and loaded out. He was taken to an Everett hospital.
