EVERETT — Troopers were investigating a crash involving a motorcycle on southbound I-5 Thursday afternoon.
The motorcyclist was thrown onto the northbound shoulder at 12:37 p.m., just north of the Snohomish River near Everett, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Police believe the man, 30, of Selah, somehow lost control of his motorcycle, trooper Mark Francis said. Witnesses reported seeing the man making abrupt lane changes for about 10 miles before the crash.
The man was taken to a local hospital with a foot injury. He is under investigation for speeding and reckless driving, Francis said.
Traffic cleared within about 90 minutes.
