Motorcyclist seriously injured after wrong-way crash on 99

SEATTLE — A 55-year-old motorcyclist is suffering from life-threatening injuries after a wrong-way crash on Highway 99.

KOMO-TV reported that police say the man had no time to avoid a southbound car heading straight toward him when they collided near Safeco Field early Friday morning.

The motorcyclist has been rushed to Harborview Medical Center. Officials say that investigators appear to be conducting the investigation as if it was fatal.

The woman driver of the vehicle has been arrested.

Investigators are trying to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
