STANWOOD — Crash detectives are investigating the death of a 28-year-old motorcyclist Thursday morning near Stanwood.
The man reportedly clipped the mirror of an oncoming vehicle, hit a pole and went into a ditch, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash occurred about 4 a.m. on Happy Hollow Road between 48th Avenue NW and Happy Valley Road, Hover said.
No one else was hurt and no citations have been issued.
Detectives are trying to determine if speed was a factor in the fatal crash.
