EVERETT — A man walking along I-5 was hit by a car and died early Sunday morning.
The Mount Vernon man, 30, was walking on the left shoulder of the southbound lanes around 1 a.m. when he stepped in front of a driver in a Kia Sorento SUV, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The driver and passenger were not injured.
The victim’s identity wasn’t revealed until his next of kin were told of his death.
