MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Fire tore through a Mountlake Terrace auto repair business causing heavy damage early Friday morning.
An alarm company alerted fire dispatchers around 12:20 a.m. to the blaze in a two-story commercial building in the 21700 block of 66th Avenue W., Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
When crews arrived, flames were shooting out of the West Coast Collision Center, Hynes said.
Firefighters from District 1 and Lynnwood quickly brought the fire under control.
“There was heavy fire and water damage in the auto repair business, but firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the other businesses in the complex,” Hynes said.
Fire District 1 investigators are still working to determine what started the blaze.
