MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A woman who was reportedly beaten to death with a club at a Mountlake Terrace home was identified Tuesday.
Candice Black, 29, was picking up belongings from her deceased boyfriend’s home Nov. 11, according to police reports filed in court.
She and her boyfriend’s stepfather were arguing when the man allegedly picked up a wooden club and hit her. He left the Mountlake Terrace woman unconscious in the driveway and went inside to sleep, according to police.
Officers found Black dead with massive head trauma shortly after midnight. The man reportedly told police he went “into a rage” and hit her.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded the death was a homicide.
