Mukilteo City Councilwoman Lori Kaiser, appointed in September, will run for election in the fall.”I love the work,” said Kaiser, who was appointed when Donna Lansberry moved to Everett.
This will be Kaiser’s first run for office. Her priorities are opposing Paine Field expansion, addressing transportation issues and ensuring sound financial management in city government, she said.
Kaiser is a licensed certified public accountant and has held corporate positions in financial management, sales, marketing and strategic planning. Most recently, she was vice president of marketing and strategic planning for Cray Inc. of Seattle, which makes supercomputers.
The council term runs through 2007. As an appointee, Kaiser must run for the seat in November to retain the position.
Kaiser, 47, has lived in Mukilteo for eight years with her husband and daughter. She has done volunteer work for the Mukilteo School District and the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce.
