MUKILTEO — City leaders will continue a public hearing on proposed transportation funding options at 7 p.m. Monday at City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way.
Mukilteo City Council on April 3 voted to form a transportation benefit district. City leaders started on the nuts-and-bolts of using the special taxing district’s powers at a meeting April 17 but did not get to detailed tax discussions.
The public hearing could continue to a third session on May 1 if not wrapped up Monday.
Funding options include a sales tax increase, a vehicle license fee and an increase to the solid waste utility tax, among other ideas. A sales tax increase would require voter approval.
