The Mukilteo School District honored several individuals and groups at an annual luncheon hosted by the Washington Association of School Administrators. The event gives school districts a bigger stage on which to recognize individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to elementary and secondary education.
In Mukilteo, student support advocates who work as school-based case managers for at-risk students were honored for their work, which includes assisting families as they navigate complex social service systems.
The Equity and Social Justice Division at Everett Community College was recognized for helping the district better serve underrepresented students, including those from low-income families, first generation college-bound students, and students of color.
Steven Hellyer, the chair of the Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center’s advisory committee, was recognized for his ideas and expertise in data analysis, technology and systems thinking.
