EVERETT — A 21-year-old Mukilteo man suffered serious injuries after the car he was driving went off the road on I-5 near the Snohomish River early Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The man was taken to the regional trauma center at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
A passenger in the car, a 21-year-old Everett man, was treated at the Colby campus of Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The car was headed southbound near Everett shortly after 4 a.m. when it left the roadway, hit a sign and came to rest on its top in the ditch, according to the State Patrol.
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs was involved in the accident. It remains under investigation.
