EVERETT — A murder suspect who failed to show up for court last week was ordered held on $2 million bail.
James Fryberg, 21, appeared Tuesday before Snohomish County Superior Court Judge George Appel. Fryberg was arrested Friday evening on a $1 million warrant after he didn’t show up for a court hearing March 9.
Fryberg also made an appearance Tuesday in District Court, where a judge found probable cause to hold him for first-degree robbery. Fryberg is suspected of robbing a Marysville pharmacy the same day he ditched his court hearing.
Police believe Fryberg stole hundreds of prescription painkillers after he told pharmacy employees he was armed with a gun.
The Tulalip man is accused of killing 15-month-old Damoniko Ashby in May while the boy’s mother was at work.
