WENATCHEE — A Leavenworth man says shots were fired at his car after mushroom hunting Tuesday afternoon near Blewett Pass.
He told the Chelan County sheriff’s office he was driving in the Ruby Cree area when he realized the shots were being fired from a pickup truck. One of the two men inside had a gun.
The Leavenworth man says he fire four shot in the air from his own pistol then was able to outrun the pickup. When he got home he found bullet holes in his car. He was not injured.
The sheriff’s office says it doesn’t know whether the men in the pickup also were mushroom hunters or what there motive may have been.
