GRANITE FALLS — Officials have identified three people who died last week in a one-car crash along the Mountain Loop Highway.
The driver was Mikayla M. Mikesell, 26, of Marysville.
Also killed were Dawna P. Simmons, 27, and Jonathan A. Simmons, 31, both of Granite Falls. The deaths remain under investigation by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the medical examiner.
The three were in a red Toyota Tercel that went down an embankment and crashed into a tree near Canyon Drive, east of Granite Falls. All three people are believed to have died instantly.
The crash was discovered Friday morning and is believed to have happened over night.
