MONROE — Officials have identified two east Snohomish County men who died Sunday in a car accident near Monroe.
Sean R. Peters, 23, of Monroe, and Ryan L. Kenyon, 25, of Sultan, both died from head injuries, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office. Their deaths were ruled an accident.
Police believe both men were in a car that left the road and crashed through a fence in the 23200 block of Sofie Road, about two miles east of town.
The collision may have occurred around 1:30 a.m. Neighbors told Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies that they heard a noise about that time but couldn’t see what caused it.
A delivery truck spotted the car about 5:25 a.m. and called 911. When deputies arrived, they found the men dead at the scene.
Both were wearing seat belts. Investigators found no immediate signs of drugs or alcohol being involved. Speed was believed to be a factor.
