Several cities around Snohomish County plan to participate in the 25th National Night Out, an annual event designed to strengthen communities and fight crime.
The goal of the event is to heighten crime-prevention awareness and build participation in local anti-crime programs, event organizers said.
Many cities are holding events that provide safety demonstrations, children’s activities and free food.
Additionally, some neighborhoods organize their own National Night Out gatherings. For more information, check with local police.
