SEATTLE — The new State Route 520 floating bridge has opened to westbound traffic.
The span over Lake Washington opened at 3:50 a.m. Monday. While westbound drivers can use the bridge the eastbound lanes aren’t expected to open until April 25. Until then people will have to continue to use the old 520 bridge.
The new, $4.5 billion floating bridge will feature six lanes and will connect Seattle to communities east of Lake Washington.
