TACOMA — New charges have been filed against the man who embezzled from the fund set up for the families of four slain Lakewood police officers.
Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist charged former Lakewood Officer Skeeter Manos on Wednesday with identity theft and forgery. He’s accused of using the name of an accountant for a fake audit of the Lakewood Police Guild when he was treasurer.
The 35-year-old from Dupont was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday afternoon in Tacoma.
In June Manos was sentenced to nearly three years in prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud in the theft of more than $112,000 from the fund set up for the families of the Lakewood officers who were killed in 2009.
Manos was fired after he was charged.
