ANCHORAGE, Alaska — State prosecutors have filed new charges against a Homer man suspected of harassing a drunk, passed out teenager in 2012.
The Alaska Dispatch News reports 22-year-old Anthony Resetarits is charged with felony evidence tampering and hindering prosecution.
He’s also charged with misdemeanor harassment and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
His brother, 20-year-old Joseph Resetarits, is charged with misdemeanor harassment.
A Kenai grand jury in September 2013 indicted the brothers on charges of sexually assaulting the unconscious teenager at a party in Homer attended by students and young adults.
A judge in August dismissed the charges based on defense attorney objections that the state failed to present evidence to the grand jury favoring the brothers. The judge also cited problems with hearsay evidence.
