BOTHELL – The alarm sounded at station 73 near Bear Creek and Canyon Park this morning, the ceremonial signal that the newly rebuilt firehouse is open.
Officials from Snohomish County Fire District 7 saluted the flag and uncoupled a fire hose during a ceremony this morning, Assistant Chief Eric Andrews said.
The station was rebuilt to accommodate a full-time engine company and medic unit, he said. Previously, the station was staffed by volunteers.
There are seven fire stations in the district. Fire station 75, near Lost Lake, is scheduled to be dedicated in July, Andrews said.
An open house for station 73, which is located at 22225 45th Ave. SE, is scheduled for Saturday.
