A new nonprofit organization called the Snohomish County Growers Alliance will try to increase the economic viability of local farms.
Farmers and Snohomish County officials will formally introduce the organization on June 8, when they meet to discuss their strategy for reaching local growers and how to eventually create a farmers market. That session is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Swans Trail Farms, 7301 Rivershore Road, Snohomish.
