A new storm is expected to move through Snohomish County bringing rain and heavy wind and turning to snow by Tuesday evening, forecasters say.
Wind in the 30 mph to 35 mph range with gusts up to 50 mph are projected for Tuesday, with heavy rain possible in the afternoon, said Dennis DAmico, a National Weather Service meteorologist.
He said the winds could be strong enough to match those of Friday night, which knocked out electricity to 105,000 homes in Snohomish County and Camano Island.
By Tuesday night, temperatures should drop to around freezing, bringing snow to some locations, DAmico said. He said its hard to pin down where the snow likely will accumulate.
