EVERETT – Students were allowed back into Everett High School around noon today after a morning bomb threat forced an evacuation, officials said.
Police searched the school after the threat was called in around 11 a.m., said Mary Waggoner, an Everett school district spokeswoman. No bomb was found.
Students were forced to stand outside during a hail storm while police investigated, she said.
“The kids were being good sports” under the circumstances, Waggoner said
Once the gym was cleared, students were allowed to go inside while officials searched the remainder of the building.
Anyone with information about who might be responsible for the bomb threat is asked to call the Everett School District Tip Line at 425-385-5050.
