OLYMPIA — The Thurston County Coroner said there’s no evidence of foul play in the death of a newborn baby boy found dead in an Olympia home on Monday.
Gary Warnock said Tuesday that an autopsy shows the baby was a stillborn.
The boy was pronounced dead around 1 p.m. Monday at his home on the city’s west side. He was found after a 28-year-old woman was brought by ambulance to a local hospital. She had been complaining of abdominal bleeding and pain, but did not reveal her recent pregnancy.
Police said hospital staff found evidence she had recently given birth.
