EVERETT — No injuries were reported after an exchange of gunfire Tuesday night in south Everett.
A man apparently shot at people in a car.
“The passengers in the car returned fire. That’s what the witnesses reported,” Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
The calls to 911 started around 7:45 p.m. The location was near the intersection of Fourth Avenue W and 90th Street SW. Multiple parked vehicles were struck by bullets, Snell said.
As of Wednesday, no information was available on the car involved. The man on foot was described as being in his 20s or 30s.
A police dog track was unsuccessful. Shell casings were collected for analysis.
Gang activity is believed to be behind a spike in shootings in Everett since December. Police have not said whether Tuesday’s incident is part of that pattern.
