LYNNWOOD — No one was hurt when an apartment caught fire near Edmonds Community College on Thursday morning.
No one was home in the involved unit at the Heather Ridge complex at 20413 68th Ave. The blaze was on the second floor of the three-story building.
Firefighters escorted three adults from the neighboring unit — two were treated at the scene, said Deputy Chief Thad Hovis of South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue.
The fire was reported around 10 a.m. and appeared to start in the kitchen. Initial reports said four people lived there. They likely will be displaced, Hovis said.
An investigation is ongoing.
