SILVANA — A fire destroyed a barn Wednesday in north Snohomish County.
Engines and water tenders from six fire districts responded around 5:45 p.m. to the farmland a mile west of Silvana, said Silvana Fire Chief Keith Strotz.
By the time crews reached the scene, about a third of the 50-by-30-foot barn was on fire. They battled the flames for about a half-hour. In the end it was a total loss, Strotz said.
No one was hurt. No animals were inside. Cars parked nearby did not burn.
Investigators were called in to figure out the cause.
