EVERETT — City crews are cleaning up after a sewer-main break spewed waste into Port Gardner on Thursday night.
People should not swim or wade at Howarth Park and Pigeon Creek Beach until further notice.
Crews on Friday were setting up some temporary piping to reroute sewage. Permanent fixes could take weeks, according to a news release.
State agencies also were notified of the spill.
