As of this week, Lake Stevens city officials still are working to select a final police chief candidate, City Administrator Jan Berg said.
The ETA for that decision originally was set for May 1.
“We are still working through the process and have not yet selected a candidate to start the conditional offer process yet,” Berg wrote in an email Saturday.
About 20 people applied for the job.
