Arlington: Food Bank moving
The Arlington Community Food Bank is moving to a temporary location at the Arlington Airport and is set to be open for services Tuesday.
The new location is at 18810 59th Drive NE, just east of the intersection of 188th Street and 59th Avenue.
The hours will remain the same: 1 to 2 p.m. Fridays and 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays. Donations may also be dropped off during these times.
The former location of the Food Bank at Cox Street by Haller Park will be closed after Friday.
Fire department hosts Santa Run
Arlington firefighters will accompany Santa to local neighborhoods, giving out candy canes and collecting nonperishable food for the Arlington Food Bank.
The annual Santa Run and Food Drive is scheduled Sunday through Dec. 13 throughout the city.
Firefighters plan to be in neighborhoods from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and from 5 to 8 p.m. on weekends. Route information is available at www.santarun.net.

Group plans event to honor veterans
The Stillaguamish Valley Pioneers are planning to hold their annual Military Day on Wednesday.
The event is set from 1 to 3 p.m. at Pioneer Hall, 20722 67th Ave. NE. A ceremony is planned at 1:15 p.m.
Veterans from all wars and all branches of service are invited to come for coffee and cookies.

Granite Falls: Volunteers sought for city planning
The Granite Falls Planning Commission is asking residents for help with the city’s 10-year comprehensive plan update.
Each interested volunteer will work on a citizen advisory committee with members of the Planning Commission on researching information, proposing amendments and reporting findings to the Planning Commission. Planning commissioners will then make a recommendation to the City Council.
Committee groups include those focused on natural features, land use, housing, capital facilities and utilities, transportation, economic development and shoreline.
