Arlington: Winter recreation guide is out
Copies of the city of Arlington’s winter recreation guide are available at City Hall, 238 N. Olympic Ave., or online at www.arlingtonwa.gov.
The guide includes information about the Relay for Life lighted parade at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 21 on Olympic Avenue, along with Arlington-Stillaguamish Eagle Festival on Feb. 4

Camano Island: Black and White Ball
The annual New Year’s Eve Black and White Ball at the Camano Community and Senior Center is set for 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, 606 Arrowhead Road.
Cost is $15 for members of the center and $20 for others. Hors d’oeuvres and dancing. Black and white evening attire is suggested.

Marysville: Criminal justice class
Residents can sign up for a Marysville University class about the city’s criminal justice system.
The “Law &Order: An Inside Look at Marysville’s Criminal Justice System” class is scheduled from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Marysville Municipal Court, 1015 State Ave.
Municipal Court judges Fred Gillings and Lorrie Towers, court administrator Suzi Elsner and prosecuting attorney Jennifer Millett are set to speak and the class will end with an optional tour of the courthouse. The class will be videotaped for the city’s cable access channel.
Those who are interested in taking the class must RSVP to executive assistant Lynn Schroeder by Jan. 11.

Register soon for youth soccer league
Marysville Parks and Recreation plans to begin taking registration for their youth soccer league on Jan. 17. The recreational soccer program is offered in cooperation with the Marysville Youth Soccer Club and is for boys and girls ages 7 to 14.
Registration is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Parks and Recreation office at 6915 Armar Road. Registration will continue until Feb. 25. The team registration deadline is Feb. 22.

Oso: Community meeting scheduled
The Oso Community Center annual meeting is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the center, at the old Oso School, Highway 530.
