Camano Island: Sip soup at Sunday supper

The public is invited to join Utsalady Ladies Aid members for an old-fashioned free community supper of homemade soups, bread, homemade cookies and a decadent dessert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Ladies Aid Hall, 78 Utsalady Road, Camano Island.

A Christmas program follows.

Darrington: Treats and tree lighting

The Darrington Christmas tree lighting ceremony is set for dusk on Saturday at City Hall, 1005 Cascade St.

Community caroling at the tree lighting is to be followed by warm treats and socializing at Cascade Senior Center, 1115 Darrington St.

Earlier in the day, the Darrington Holiday Gift Bazaar, lunch and baked goods sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Darrington Elementary School gym, 1085 Fir St.

The event is sponsored by the Darrington PTSA.

Lake Stevens: Dickens Fair Saturday

The annual Dickens Fair is scheduled Saturday in the Cavelero Mid High School cafeteria.

Vendors dressed in Charles Dickens-era clothes are set to sell their hand-crafted wares while children from the Lake Stevens School District community perform and sing carols at the fair, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cavelero Mid High is located at 8220 24th St. SE.

Admission to the fair is a can of food or monetary donation for the Lake Stevens Food Bank. The Lake Stevens School District Community Education program is hosting the event.

Lakewood: Drama club stages ‘Robin Hood’

Lakewood High School’s drama club is set to present the play “Robin Hood” at 7 p.m. Dec. 2, 3, 9 and 10 at in the high school theater, 17023 11th Ave. NE.

Marysville: Electric Lights Parade returns

Holiday fun, food, music and a parade of lights is set for Saturday in Comeford Park and along State Avenue.

The free 23rd Annual Merrysville for the Holidays winter festival kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the Electric Lights Parade that is scheduled to travel State Avenue and arrive at the center of activities in Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave.

The parade begins at Marysville Municipal Court, 1015 State Ave.

The lighting of the water tower is planned after the parade, at about 7 p.m.
