Kayak Point: Learn about plans for park
Snohomish County officials plan to show drafts of potential changes at Kayak Point Park during a workshop at the end of the month.
The county hasn’t reviewed the park’s design since it opened in 1972. Now, it ranks among the most popular recreation areas in the county.
The workshop is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. March 31 — not at Kayak Point, but at the Lake Goodwin Community Club, 17323 42nd Ave. NW, Stanwood.
Suggested changes for day-use portions of the park are based on feedback from a November meeting, e-mails and phone calls. A summary is available by going to www.snoco.org and searching for “Kayak planning.”
People unable to attend the meeting, or who simply want more information, can call 425-388-6616.
