Arlington: Help out with Nativity Festival
The Arlington Nativity Festival is a new, non-denominational Christmas event for all ages set for Dec. 8, 9, 10 and 11 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 17222 43rd Ave NE. Admission is free.
People are encouraged to donate artwork and nativities to be displayed at the festival, which will include live music and a variety of activities. Musicians willing to donate their performance time to provide Christmas music also are encouraged to participate and asked to email clsouthworth@gmail.com for more information.
All pieces will be labeled and watched to ensure the nativities are returned to their owners, organizers said.

The screening is set for 6 p.m. at the library located at 815 E. Galena St. The discussion following the movie will be about what local residents can do to stop hate in their community. It will be led by Managing Librarian Jude Anderson.
This screening is part of Sno-Isle Libraries’ “Issues That Matter” series. Libraries in Oak Harbor and Freeland held “Not In Our Town” screenings and discussions in September. The screenings and discussions are funded by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.
