Arlington: Revolution is class topic
Through the city recreation department, Frank Barden plans to teach a free class on the American Revolution.
The class begins at 6:30 tonight and runs each Wednesday through Feb. 22 at the Olympic Retirement Community, 20909 Olympic Place. The class is presented in a video format, Barden said. Drop-in students are welcome.
Barden and his class will seek to answer such questions as why did the 13 colonies, with nothing resembling a unified and trained army, and no navy to speak of, believe they could defeat the most powerful nation in the world?
Camano: Mosquito control board opening
The Camano Island Mosquito Control District is seeking a volunteer to fill an opening on the Camano Island Mosquito Control District Board of Trustees. The board meets at 3 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
Applications are due no later than Feb. 2.

Lake Stevens: Friends of library host meeting
The Friends of the Lake Stevens Library group is planning to meet on Monday.
