SEATTLE — Police say a driver fleeing an officer caused a crash and then attempted to carjack two cars before he was stunned with a Taser and arrested.
Spokeswoman Deanna Nolette says it started Wednesday night when the officer attempted to stop the car because the driver is wanted on an arrest warrant.
During the chase the suspect collided head-on with another car. That driver had to be cut out of the wreckage by firefighters who took him to a hospital with leg injuries.
Nolette says the suspect ran away and attempted to enter one car before jumping in the back seat of a second, yelling at the driver. The pursuing officer arrived in time to make the arrest, using a Taser to subdue the suspect.

The conditions of Hague’s sentence include 75 hours of community service, installation of an ignition-interlock device, an alcohol-and-drug evaluation, alcohol-information school, attendance at a DUI victims’ panel and three public-service announcements.

In the report released this week, investigators say Larson charged the trooper and hit him. The trooper tried using his Taser before firing six shots.
Larson’s girlfriend told investigators he was having a “spiritual battle” the night before and thought God was knocking on his door.

University Place: Wild animal attacks horses
Police believe a wild animal, possibly a coyote, attacked two horses in a residential area of University Place, near Fircrest Golf Club.
Owner Ken Campbell found the horses injured Monday when he went to feed them. One had deep bites to its neck and legs that required stitches. The other had less-serious bites.
Police Chief Jim Andrews says an animal control officer concluded the bites were too big for a dog.
