KENT — A jury has acquitted a Federal Way pest control manager who was accused of poisoning his wife with strychnine.
The News Tribune reported the King County Superior Court jury in Kent returned a not guilty verdict Wednesday in the second murder trial of 64-year-old Joseph Naimo.
His first trial ended in October with a split jury.
Prosecutors said he killed 53-year-old Ann Marie Naimo in 2008 at their Federal Way home so he could pursue relationships with other women.
The defense lawyer said she committed suicide.
The verdict means Joseph Naimo goes free. He had been in jail since his arrest in May 2009.
