KINGSTON — State Fish and Wildlife Department agents have put out traps near Kingston to catch a bear and her two cubs that have been getting into garbage cans.
Sgt. Ted Jackson told the Kitsap Sun another nuisance bear was trapped Tuesday and moved to the Olympic Peninsula.
Jackson says bear sightings are normal this time of year before berries ripen. He says rural residents can discourage bear visits be securing garbage, pet food and bird feeders.
