COUPEVILLE — An Oak Harbor man was charged Wednesday in connection with his grandfather’s slaying. He also is a suspect in the killing of his other grandfather, officials said.
Island County prosecutors allege that Joshua D. Lambert fatally stabbed George Lambert, 80, Monday in the Oak Harbor area. He also reportedly attacked and tied up his grandfather’s sister, according to court papers.
Lambert, 30, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.
He also is a suspect in the death of his other grandfather, Island County sheriff’s detective Ed Wallace said Thursday.
August Eisner, 80, also was found fatally stabbed Monday in his Oak Harbor home. No new details are being released at this point in the investigation, Wallace said.
Lambert is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 17 in Island County Superior Court. He is being held without bail.
Lambert has felony convictions for illegal possession of a firearm and malicious mischief. He has misdemeanor assault and theft convictions and served time in prison for felony assault with a weapon.
