SEATAC — A Kent Fire Department spokesman says a six-story hotel in SeaTac, Washington, was evacuated Monday afternoon after workers and guests complained of a chemical odor on one floor.
Spokesman Kyle Ohashi says 13 people were taken to local hospitals to be checked as a precaution after complaining of minor breathing distress. Several other people declined assistance.
A hazmat team searched for more than two hours but couldn’t find a source for the fourth floor odor. The hotel was ventilated and employees and guests were allowed to re-enter.
