FEDERAL WAY — Police wounded a man in the leg during a confrontation early Tuesday in Federal Way.
Officers had responded to a domestic violence call about 2:40 a.m. at an apartment, and the suspect fled out a back window. Two other men at the apartment said their roommate had become intoxicated an assaulted them.
Police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock told KOMO News officers were looking for the man when he suddenly charged, “making animal-type sounds.”
Two officers fired. The 33-year-old suspect was taken to a Seattle hospital with a leg wound. He’s expected to survive.
