A boy who drowned Friday at Lost Lake has been identified as Anthony Cunningham, 16, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Medical Examiner did not report where the boy lived in Snohomish County.
Cunningham, who was swimming with friends, went into the water about 5:50 p.m. Friday and did not surface, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jan Jorgensen said. The lake is north of Sultan.
The boy’s friends called 911, and the sheriff’s dive team responded in minutes. They discovered the boy in the lake, but he died at the scene, Jorgensen said.
His death was an accident, the medical examiner’s office reported.
Mukilteo: Boy airlifted to Seattle hospital
A teenage boy was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and two others were taken to a local hospital after they were injured Monday near Lighthouse Park.
The three were spotted in a wooded area south of the park about 3:20 p.m., said Mukilteo Police Department Cmdr. Russell Harris. The teens apparently were injured in an accident, Harris said.
“There was nothing to indicate any foul play was involved,” Harris said, but declined to provide further information, saying the incident was under investigation and saying that federal privacy laws prevented him from revealing other information.
A Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad employee called police to report the injuries, Harris said.
The teens were not injured by the train. Their injuries also did not involve a weapon, Harris said.
