EVERETT — Two people killed in a Christmas night house fire in Everett have been identified.
Just after 11:30 p.m. on Christmas, witnesses reported a fire coming from a unit in a four-plex in the 9800 block of 3rd Avenue SE, according to the Everett Fire Department. When crews arrived, they found Jonathan Kim, 28.
Initially, the fire department reported only one death in the fire, but days later investigators returned to the home.
They found Jane Kim, 65, had also died.
It took about 35 minutes to bring the fire under control, fire officials said. Investigators didn’t believe the fire was criminal.
Their names were publicly released Tuesday, following DNA testing to confirm the identities.
