BELLINGHAM — Investigators are trying to find the cause of a fire that killed three dogs.
The Bellingham Herald reported that firefighters arrived at the scene Friday morning to find two recreational vehicles and a modular home burning.
The homeowners were not there at the time.
Whatcom County Fire District 1 Chief Mel Blankers said the home was a complete loss.
Firefighters controlled the blaze after about an hour.
Whatcom County Fire Marshal’s Office investigator Mitch Nolze said the cause of the fire is unknown and he has not yet estimated the cost of the damage.
