Passenger in Lynnwood allegedly shoots driver’s leg

LYNNWOOD — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred just after 11 p.m. Wednesday between the 4800 and 5000 blocks of 200th Street SW in Lynnwood.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his leg, Lynnwood police reported.

The shooting took place in the victim’s vehicle while he was driving the suspect to an unknown location, officials said.

Police are trying to determine the nature of the relationship between the men and piece together what led up to the shooting.

The suspect took off on foot after the shooting. He was described as being in his 20s with dread-locks and a white sweatshirt.

Police don’t believe the shooting was a random incident.
