OLYMPIA — An Olympia police officer who was wounded while helping a SWAT team serve a search warrant at a suspected drug house near Lacey was shot through the bicep of an arm.
Thurston County sheriff’s Lt. Greg Elwin says he was treated at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia and released. Elwin says the 33-year-old officer is a 10-year police veteran.
KOMO-TV reports he was working with a Thurston County drug task force Monday morning when he was shot.
A 38-year-old suspect surrendered with no other shots fired.
An 18-year-old woman in the house was detained for questioning.
