OSO — Highway 530 was closed Thursday evening and into Friday morning after a car struck a power pole.
The accident happened about 10 p.m. Thursday, near Montague Creek in the Oso area, said trooper Keith Leary with the Washington State Patrol.
An Arlington man, 50, was driving a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro and hit the pole. Power lines came down over the road, Leary said.
Utility crews had to complete repairs before the road could be fully reopened about 7 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation. The driver was hospitalized and arrested for investigation of drunken-driving. His injuries weren’t believed to be life-threatening.
