MONROE — A trip to school Wednesday morning turned frightening for more than 60 children when their bus skidded into a ditch.
One child suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, Monroe Fire District 3 spokeswoman Richelle Risdon said. The other 62 children were transferred to another bus and taken to school.
The driver wasn’t hurt, Risdon said.
The accident occurred around 8:30 near 10900 Trombley Road, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The bus that went into the ditch did not have to be towed away, Hover said. No one was ticketed for the accident.
